This was my first piece for the digital part of my final; you know how when you're really little you have these random memories that stick with you for no reason? That's exactly what this is, I just have this memory floating around in my head from when I was on a walk with my family at the beach, I just remember looking up at the sky and watching the moon move through the clouds.
To be honest I don't remember what exactly inspired this whole piece, I think I was just messing around with brushes and layering in SAI and somehow ended up with this after a few days. Originally it was going to be inside of a temple, like the kinds you see in video games, but then it ended up being on a beach. Kinda weird, but I still really like it.
I just wanted to make something that looked weird/dreamy, to be honest I was just doodling around and then I thought it would be cool to add layers of red/blue to make it look cool and holographic.
Part b: reflection
(1. What work that you made in Art 3 are you most proud of?
Post an image and explain why.)

I gotta love these eggs man, this is probably my favorite project because of how weirdly creative this idea was, especially for the first project. I'm almost afraid that this project was the peak of my artistic/creative abilities and I won't ever have another idea as good as this one ever again. I also really love the colors that I used in this project, I particularly love the colors that I used for the values in the eggs
(2. What lesson or assignment from this class was the most challenging for you?
What did you learn from it?)
What did you learn from it?)
To be honest, I think my most challenging assignment was the final, it was hard for me to come up with inspiration for all of these pieces because I kept stressing over the deadline and getting everything done. I learned that stressing wasn't going to help me progress, it's action. Even though it's really really hard to overcome that stress, it can be rewarding to just get it done.
(3. What did you like about Art 3?
What would you change?)
What would you change?)
What I loved about Art 3 was the projects, and how we were given some more creative freedom, which I unfortunately feel like I didn't take advantage of enough; but I've learned that I don't always have to stick with a realistic art style, and that it's really the unexpected kind of art style or subject matter that can really help a piece stick out. That idea is really helping me learn my own kind of art style and creative process. I can't actually think of a way to change Art 3, except for me to explore and test my creative boundaries more.
