I just want to start of by saying I'm super proud of that planet in the top left corner, although it's a dangerously close parallel to the acursed corner sun, it looks so good and it was purely experimental using layers and different lighting modes and adjusting the hue and saturation. I mean LOOK AT THAT SOFT SUBTLE GLOW! How can you not love that? The stars I got inspiration from drawing with prismacolor pencils, because the lead is so soft, it leaves dust everywhere when you use/sharpen them, so I've made it a habit to collect prismacolor dust and keep it in a jar to use for projects similar to this. Of course I couldn't use some on this project because it's digital, but I thought doing something similar like that would make the piece more interesting. (cue 10 minute footage of me repeatedly tapping my drawing tablet and occasionally switching colors)
I'm going to go back and add more values to the weird oxygen tube coming out of the alien's backpack because right now it looks like she's taking a rubber hose and drowning the baby in a fish bowl, and also give the alien proper hands because it's probably really hard to live in space with only mittens for hands.
I had this dream recently, and I just remember this forest of trees that were actually cacti and axolotls "swimming" (it was more like flying around since there wasn't any water) all around in them and eating fireflies. When I woke up I told myself that it was too artsy not to put into my concentration pieces, so here we are now.
I think in this dream I heard on the radio that a bunch of airplanes had been crashing all over the place due to some weird magnetic pressure going on in the atmosphere or something like that, but it was also making bears go nuts and gather in random places around town and start attacking people. I was walking to school with a small group of friends when we were attacked by a sleuth of bears, we ended up running into the woods and finding an old abandoned church under a bridge that started falling apart as soon as we got there. As one of the bears closed in on us, a piece of rubble from the bridge fell and hit it, and we ran inside the church.
I'm really proud of the values and colors i used in the trees, pillars and rubble, and the texture in the rubble and grass. At this point I was sort of struggling to use brushes in ways I haven't used them before, the rubble was especially hard because it's harder for me to communicate texture through digital art; but I managed to pull through it rather successfully I think. I might want to go back and add a bit more rubble, especially on the left side to balance it out a little because it's kind of empty.
The next dream I had was from 1st grade where this giant alien robot chicken took control of the sky, it kept making it switch between afternoon and night and it kept stomping around my neighborhood, I started running around it's feet and then I woke up.
I had this dream when I was four or so, I was in my mema's computer room, and then my backyard, where there was a pile of chairs in front of this huge azalea bush we had and the sun was setting, when I climbed to the top of the azalea bush I fell slowly, then I think I was dreaming within a dream because while falling the scene morphed into my bedroom, as I was slowly falling onto my bed my mom walked in to check on me.
AP concentrations based off of weird dreams I've had
please god just let me survive this semester im so tired of high school i just wanna make art
